Hagens Berman Axeon has confirmed its last signing for the 2019 season: William 'Liam' Holowesko. The 18-year-old joins from the Hot Tubes Development Cycling Team.

Holowesko is native from the Bahamas and includes in his palmares two USA Junio National Time Trial titles and three Bahamas National Championships titles, two in the time trial and one in the road race in 2018. "Joining Hagens Berman Axeon has always been my goal since I first started racing," the rider commented.

"A lot of my former teammates, who have had a tremendous impact on my life, joined Axeon and I have always made it my goal to race with them again. Joining this team has nothing to do with proving anyone wrong, but instead proving those right who have always taken a chance on me and never given up on me."

The young talent is not only a good time trialist but also an all-rounder that wants to keep developing at the ProContinental level. "I would really like to learn as much as I can from the team and hopefully improve my experience level and understanding of racing tactics," Holowesko explained.

He is the sixth rider to join Hagens Berman Axeon for the 2019 season after Karel Vacek, Jakob Egholm, Sean Quinn, Kevin Vermaerke, and André Carvalho.
