Matteo Montaguti and Julian Cardona will join Androni Giocattoli-Sidermec in 2019. The riders make the move from AG2R La Mondiale and EF Education First, respectively.

Montaguti joins the Italian team after spending the last eight seasons at the French squad. French newspaper L'Equipe
reports that the 34-year-old will lead Androni Giocattoli at the next Giro d'Italia, if the team gets one of the WildCards for the grand tour.

The rider's palmares includes a victory at the 2010 Giro della Provincia di Reggio Calabria and top-five spots at the eighth stage of the 2016 Giro d'Italia and in races like the GP Industria and Artigianato, the Trofeo Laigueglia and the GP Industria & Commercio di Prato.

Cardona will be leaving EF Education First after one season and will be joining the Italian roster for the 2019 season. There, 21-year-old will have a free role in races like the Giro d'Italia and gain more experience.
