The organisation of the Tour of Oman has presented its course for the 2019 edition of the race. The Arabian race will be held between the 16th and the 21st of February.

This will be the tenth edition of the race and will be the ninth consecutive time that will feature a summit finish on Jabal Al Akhdhar or the Green Mountain, a climb that is 5.7 kilometres long and an average gradient of 10.5%.

The Tour of Oman prides itself on having stages suitable for sprinters, puncheurs and climbers alike, and the 2019 edition of the race will not be the exception. The race starts with a stage between Al Sawadi Beach and Suhar Corniche, which is bound to finish in a bunch sprint.

On the second day, the riders will face a 156.5-kilometre stage that is suitable for the aggressive puncheurs as it features a mix of climbs, descents and narrow roads. The next day will be for the same kind of riders and they will test themselves on a 2.8-kilometre summit finish on the Qurayyat.

Stage four will have a triple climb up Al-Jabal street before the queen stage that will take the riders up the Green Mountain. The race will finish with a 135.5-kilometre stage for the sprinters between Al Mouj Muscat and Matrah Corniche.
