Ale-Cipollini Team has confirmed the signing of South Korean champion Na Ahreum. The rider is the 2018 Champion of Asia.

Na Ahreum is the current South Korean champion in the road race and the individual time trial. She has also taken top-ten spots in races like the Tour of Zhoushan Island II and Tour of Zhoushan Island I and has taken the gold medal at the individual time trials of the 2012 Asian Cycling Championships and the 2015 Asian Continental Championships.

"I am so happy and can't believe yet to have joined a professional cycling team that I aim and dream in my life," the South Korean commented. "Especially I am more pleased that my first team is the Alé - Cipollini. It's not easy to adapt because many things are unfamiliar, but now I have the confidence that I can do whatever with this motivation and excitement.

"I am grateful not only to the Alé-Cipollini team that gave me this opportunity but also to the many people who have helped me. I am excited to be able to ride a bicycle in 2019 with a lot of expectations."

Ale-Cipollini's team manager Fortunato Lacquaniti welcomed the arrival of the new rider. "Na Ahreum is strong and she has big potential, then she is already selected for the Olympics of Tokyo 2020. For Alé - Cipollini and its sponsor is a big step forward to Asia."
