WNT-Rotor's Clara Koppenburg has taken the victory of the third stage of the 2019 Setmana Ciclista Valenciana. The German rider was the strongest at the Queen Stage of the race.

The third stage of the Spanish race was 110 kilometres long between La Nucia and Castalla over a course that featured a climb of the second category and another HC ascent in Xorret de Cati. The escape of the day included riders like Canyon-SRAM's Elena Cecchini, Bigla's Mikayla Harvey, Ale Cipollini's Soraya Paladin, and WNT Rotor's Clara Koppenburg and Claudia Koster.

Paladin and Koppenburg attacked at the start of the climb and rode together for a moment, but the German rider showed to be stronger and went on solo to claim the stage victory. South African champion Ashleigh Moolman (CCC-Liv) crossed the finish line in the second position and Paladin was third.

With this victory, Koppenburg also took the lead of the general classification with one stage to go. The last stage of the Setmana Ciclista Valenciana will be 104 kilometres long between Valencia and Sagunto, over a route that includes one climb of the second category.
