Sonny Colbrelli, Matej Mohoric and Dylan Teuns are set to lead Bahrain Merida at the opening week of the Flemish season. The team will also have three selected riders to be in breakaways.

The Spring season in Belgium is starting with Omloop Het Nieuwsblad on the second of March and Kuurne-Brussels-Kuurne. Teuns will wear the colours of Bahrain-Merida in the Omloop for the first time and he will share the captaincy with Sonny Colbrelli and Matej Mohoric, while Ivan Cortina, Grega Bole and Kristijan Koren can participate in breakaways.

The Belgian rider will be replaced by Valerio Agnoli in Kuurne-Brussels-Kuurne, where Colbrelli and Cortina will be the two leaders. The Italian comes to the races with a good form that he showed at the Tour of Oman, where he won one of the stages.

Mohoric will do all the cobblestone classics and he will be returning to Belgium after winning last year's Binck Bank Tour.

Bahrain-Merida's complete roster for Omloop Het Nieuwsblad and Kuurne-Bruxells-Kuurne (2nd and 3rd of March):

Valerio Agnoli
Kristijan Koren
Sonny Colbrelli
Matej Mohori?
Dylan Teuns
Ivan Cortina
Grega Bole
Luka Pibernik
