Philippe Gilbert, Bob Jungels and Fabio Jakobsen are set to be the main men for Deceuninck-Quick-Step in Paris-Nice. The race will be held between the 10th and the 17th of March.

The French race will open with two stages that are meant for the fast men to shine, then it will be a 25.5-kilometre time trial. The next day will be good for the breakaway specialists and it will be followed by two mountain stages that will shake things up in the overall standing.

The last day will have its finish in Nice and will take the peloton through a route that includes six classified climbs that will give the GC riders the last chance to try to take the final victory.

"After the first stage, where the wind could end up influencing the outcome, the race will become harder and harder, favouring the puncheurs and the breakaway specialists," said sports director Tom Steels. "We hope to win a stage with Fabio, but he is recovering from sickness, so it remains to be seen how he goes.

"Paris-Nice is a step-up for him against a quality field, but regardless of how he fares, it is going to be a good experience for him. Philippe can also be in the mix on some of the days, while Bob will look to continue his fine form, do a good time trial and be a factor in the general classification."

Deceuninck-Quick-Step's roster for Paris-Nice (10th to 17th of March):

Tim Declercq
Philippe Gilbert
Fabio Jakobsen
Bob Jungels
Iljo Keisse
Fabio Sabatini
Florian Sénéchal
