Quentin Jauregui will be part of AG2R La Mondiale's roster for Strade Bianche and he will attempt to improve from the 12th position he took in 2017.

The 184-kilometre race that includes eleven gravel sectors will be the fourth competition of the season for the French rider. "I had a great week with the whole team at the UAE Tour," he commented. "It was really nice to be with this team for a week. My condition is good, and I am happy to have earned my best place in a UCI WorldTour race (4th on the 4th stage).

"Now, I want to take advantage of my form. I have already participated twice in Strade Bianche. I love this race, it is atypical, and we never get bored."

Jauregui will want to take advantage of his talents and experience to make a difference in Strade Bianche. "My past cyclocross experience allows me to save energy on the downhill, but this is not where the race is won," the Frenchman explained.

"I finished twelfth in 2017 and I would love to put in a good performance again. After this event, I will give myself a small break. I have already raced pretty well at the beginning of the season."

AG2R La Mondiale's roster for Strade Bianche (9th of March):

Alexandre Geniez
Francois Bidard
Silvan Dillier
Quentin Jauregui
Nico Denz
Nans Peters
Ben Gastauer
