Team Dimension Data
Dimension Data has chosen its roster to tackle Paris-Nice. The African team will start on the race with the intentions of taking stage victories and go for the overall classification.
The French competition is the third stage race of the UCI WorldTour Calendar and Dimension Data will start in it with a strong roster capable of fighting for stages and the overall classification.
Louis Meintjes will start in his second stage race of the season after the UAE Tour and despite that Paris-Nice only has one flat time trial and one summit finish, he will try to get the best GC position possible.
He will have the company of Edvald Boasson Hagen, who will want to continue with the good shape he showed in the Volta a la Comunitat Valenciana. The rider was hit by illness during the Algarve and the effects still lingered until the opening weekend of the Classics.
"I’m really looking forward to starting at Paris-Nice, it’s a long time since I’ve been at the race and it’s going to be interesting to see what it’s like," said the Norwegian rider. "I hope that I perform better now than I did at the ‘Opening Weekend’.
"I’ve been struggling a bit since I was sick in the Algarve but I’ve been resting this week so hopefully I’ll be in better shape and get something out of the race and also, of course, hope for great success for the team. I’m really looking forward to starting there."
Dimension-Data's complete roster for Paris-Nice (10th to 17th of March):
