Fernando Gaviria and Rui Costa to captain UAE Team Emirates in Tirreno-Adriatico

Fernando Gaviria and Rui Costa are set to lead UAE Team Emirates in Tirreno Adriatico. The race will be held between the 13th and the 19th of March.
The also known as the Race of the Two Seas will start with a team time trial in Lido di Camaiore and finish with an individual time trial of 10.1 kilometres in San Benedetto del Tronto. There are also going to be stages suited for the sprinters in which Gaviria will play an important part and three ones of hard climbing that suit Costa.
"It's a beautiful race where I've been able to celebrate twice," said the Colombian about the stages he won in 2016 and 2017. "The team is designed for the stage wins, I'll try to be competitive in the sprints.
"It's a great team and everyone has good legs. We will aim to fight for the stage wins and do well in the overall classification. The race design has changed somewhat from past years, so it'll be interesting to see how this change influences the race."
