Dimension Data is set to start in Tirreno-Adriatico with the goal of performing well in the opening team time trial and then target stage wins.

The race includes two time trials: one for the teams and another individual. The rest of the stages will include days for the fast men and others for the puncheurs, being in general a race that is suitable for the classics riders.

Dimension Data will be lead by Tom-Jelte Slagter, who has the capabilities to tackle the hilly stages, and Steve Cummings, who is familiar with the roads of the race as he has been living in Italy for most of his professional career.

"I am looking forward to Tirreno-Adriatico this year with Team Dimension Data," said Slagter. "I have only done the race once before in 2013, so it is good to be back racing in Italy instead of France, where I usually am this time of the year.

"There are some really nice stages here, where I hope to have good legs to either support our team goals or to take my own chance if that is part of our strategy."

Dimension Data's complete roster for Tirreno-Adriatico (13th to 19th of March):

Roman Kreuziger
Michael Valgren
Tom-Jelte Slagter
Giacomo Nizzolo
Reinardt Janse van Rensburg
Ben King
Steve Cummings
