CCC-Liv is starting in Gent-Wevelgem with a strong roster suitable for every way the race can develop. Jeanne Korevaar, Ashleigh Moolman-Pasio and Marianne Vos will lead the team in the race.

The fifth UCI Women's WorldTour race of the calendar will take place between Ypres and Wevelgem over 136.9 kilometres. The competition will include several cobblestone sectors and climbs, including the famous Kemmelberg that can really make the difference in the fight for the victory.

"The middle part, in particular, is very selective," explained sports director Jeroen Blijlevens. "But towards the end, it gets flatter again. This would make Gent-Wevelgem a classic for the sprinters, as they say. This was indeed the case in previous years because the chasing group often reconnected after the harder middle part.

"We don't necessarily count on a sprint. And we don’t particularly need this. With Ashleigh Moolman Pasio and Jeanne Korevaar, we have riders who can sit in a group and can be successful in that way. If it does come together again in the final, Marianne Vos may still be able to make a move in a sprint. Regardless of how it unfolds, the competition will be strong."
