Team Sunweb has announced the contract renewal of Søren Kragh Andersen. The Danish rider will stay at the team until at least the end of 2022.

Kragh Andersen already had a contract until the end of 2020, which now has been extended until 2022. The Dane joined the team in 2016 and has shown steady progress into one of the most promising riders in the peloton, with a versatility that allows him to shine in a variety of terrains.

The rider has an impressive palmares that includes stage wins at the Tour of Oman, the Tour de Suisse, a solo victory at the 2018 Paris-Tours and second overall positions in the 2019 Volta ao Algarve and the 2015 Tour des Fjords.

"I’m super happy to extend my contract with the team," Kragh Andersen explained. "Team Sunweb and I are a good match – they really believe in me and I think this is a good place for me to develop in the future.

"There is still lots of space for me to see where my capabilities can take us together. When I got the offer from the team I was really happy to continue working with them for a few more years and become a long-term Team Sunweb member."
