Oliver Naesen is set to captain AG2R La Mondiale in Dwars door Vlaanderen. The Belgian rider aims to continue his good Spring at the race.

Naesen took the second position in Milano-Sanremo and the third in Gent-Wevelgem and intents to continue taking advantage of his good condition at the Belgian race.

"After this new podium place at Ghent-Wevelgem we are now looking towards the Tour of Flanders on Sunday," said sports director Julien Jurdie. "But of course before that, we will focus on Dwars door Vlaanderen.

"The course is a bit shorter than one of the grand classics, but it is still a great race to try and win! It is an important race since you can make final adjustments within the team before heading to the Monument that is the Tour of Flanders. Oliver has been full of confidence since the beginning of the season. He is one of the favourites for the Flandrian classics, and he has proved his enormous amount of endurance. The whole team will have to be at the same level to stay with him on this quest."

AG2R La Mondiale's line-up for Dwars door Vlaanderen (3rd of April):

Oliver Naesen
Julien Duval
Silvan Dillier
Gediminas Bagdonas
Nico Denz
Stijn Vandenbergh
Dorian Godon
