Julian Alaphilippe and Philippe Gilbert are set to lead Deceuninck-Quick-Step in the Amstel Gold Race. The Belgian team aims to continue its outstanding season with a victory in the Dutch classic.

The race will be 265.7 kilometres long in the south of the Netherlands and will feature 35 climbs, including three ascents to the iconic Cauberg. Deceuninck-Quick-Step has taken the victory in nine one-day races of the year so far, including two Monuments: Milano-Sanremo and Paris-Roubaix.

"We come here with two leaders – Julian, who tested his legs on Wednesday at Brabantse, and Philippe, who skipped the race to recover after Paris-Roubaix and feels good, so we can look to Amstel with confidence," said sports director Geert Van Bondt. "Dries and Pieter have a deep knowledge of the parcours and will play an important role supporting our two guys, together with Rémi, Mikkel and Petr.

"There won't be too much wind on Sunday and the temperatures will be nice, and that will make for a very fast race, which means we have to stay focused at all times."

Deceuninck-Quick-Step's roster for the Amstel Gold Race (21st of April):

Julian Alaphilippe
Rémi Cavagna
Dries Devenyns
Philippe Gilbert
Mikkel Honoré
Pieter Serry
Petr Vakoc
