Mikel Landa, Richard Carapaz and Andrey Amador are set to lead Movistar in the upcoming Giro d'Italia. The squad will mix some experienced riders with debutants to deliver a strong performance in the first grand tour of the season.

Just days after the news of Alejandro Valverde missing the Corsa Rosa, Movistar has announced the complete roster for the race that includes strong riders that will aim for a good result in the race.

At the start of the year, Landa suffered from a broken collarbone but now he's completely recovered to face the grand tour, in which he already finished in the third overall position in 2015 and has won three stages. Carapaz will start in the race just after winning the Vuelta a Asturias for the second time in a row and aiming to improve from the fourth GC position he got in 2018 when he also won one stage.

Amador missed the podium in 2015, won a stage in 2012 and got to wear Pink Jersey in 2016. The three riders will have the support of experienced riders like Jose Joaquin Rojas, Jasha Sütterlin and Antonio Pedrero, while Lluis Mas and Hector Carretero will make their debut in the Italian grand tour.
