Giro d'Italia - Primoz Roglic: My performance was perfect for the day

Primoz Roglic (Jumbo-Visma) has shown once more why he's one of the favourites to win the 2019 edition of the Giro d'Italia by winning the second individual time trial of the race.
The Slovenian completed the 34.8-kilometre route of the individual time trial in 51 minutes and 52 seconds, one minute faster than Bauke Mollema, one minute and five minutes than Vincenzo Nibali and more than three minutes quicker than other favourites like Simon Yates and Miguel Angel Lopez.
"My performance was perfect for the day," said the rider at the end of the stage in San Marino. "I did a good job, everything turned out good, so of course that I am happy with my performance.
"It's true that the weather conditions were difficult, it was raining from the beginning but at the start, I rode quite carefully in the corners and I gave it all at the end."
Roglic climbed to the second position of the overall classification and sits in a comfortable place of the General Classification ahead of the first rest day. "It's always nice to have some seconds of advantage but it is a really long race and I will focus on the new days."
