Deceuninck-Quick-Step has taken the victory of the Hammer Sprint on the second day of the Hammer Series in Stavanger, Norway.

The team started taking the maximum points at the first lap of the event with Davide Martinelli and in the next laps Remco Evenepoel, Alvaro Hodeg and Yves Lampaert also made sure to bring points to attempt to take the day's victory. After a while, the peloton broke and Petr Vakoc -who was riding in the Hammer Series for the first time - made sure to be in the front group and score some more points.

"We feel amazing!" said the Czech rider. "It was a hard race, harder than yesterday I must say, but we rode a flawless race and managed to get a lot of points in the first part. From that point on, it was all about keeping an eye on our opponents, making sure we maintained our advantage."

"The weekend isn't over yet, we still have the Hammer Chase on Sunday, and we hope to be again in the mix for another strong result."
