Vincenzo Nibali to join Trek-Segafredo in 2020: Massimo Zanetti

Massimo Zanetti, the owner of Segafredo, has announced that Vincenzo Nibali will be joining Trek-Segafredo in 2020. The known as King of Coffee wanted a more Italian team and he will have it with the arrival of the rider.
Zanetti has confirmed to the Italian Gazzetta dello Sport that Nibali will arrive to the team in 2020 and that his signing will be announced on the first of August. "I really wanted it and finally I did it," he said. "He is courageous and good like all champions. The champion is like this: modest, not full of himself and he doesn't have to prove anything to anyone.
"Vincenzo is the best in Italy and one of the best in the world. I have noticed that all the riders, even if it seems like a paradox, need a patron, a 'dad'. Nowadays the teams are very international, and there are so many directors, but what we need is a family relationship. Here Nibali can find all that and we will build a high-level team around him."
The rider has won the Giro d'Italia twice and one time the Tour de France and the Vuelta a España. His palmares also includes victories in races like Il Lombardia, Milano-Sanremo, the Giro del Trentino and several stages in the Italian and French grand tours.
