Dylan Teuns and Sonny Colbrelli are set to lead Bahrain-Merida in the Criterium du Dauphine. The Belgian will fight for GC while the Italian will be the man for the fast stages.
The French race will have a renewed course that opens with two stages for the puncheurs, continues with one for the fast men, a time trial and a second one for the sprinters. The race closes with three mountain stages that will decide the overall classification.
"We head to Dauphiné with two main aims: to do well on the sprinters' stages and to fight for the General Classification," said Bahrain Merida Sports Director Vladimir Miholjevi?. "In fact, there are three days that suit Sonny Colbrelli, seen that also the opening stage features a favourable terrain for puncheurs and not pure sprinters, with a bumpy final circuit.
"Then our focus will be on the overall with Dylan Teuns. Both riders had just spent two weeks on Teide - together with Mark Padun and Jan Tratnik – and they are in good form. They will also test themselves after the altitude training camp ahead of the upcoming Tour de France."
Bahrain-Merida's roster for the Criterium du Dauphine (9th to 16th of June):
Sonny Colbrelli
Chun-Kai Feng
Mark Padun
