Deceuninck-Quick-Step has taken the overall victory of Hammer Limburg. The Belgian team conquered the Hammer Climb, the Hammer Sprint and finished in the fourth position of the Hammer Chase, which was enough to keep the final win.

The formation dominated the Dutch leg of the Hammer Series by taking the victory in two out of the three events that were held in Limburg. Dries Devenyns -who replaced Davide Martinelli in this last event, Remco Evenepoel, Fabio Jakobsen, Yves Lampaert and Michael Mørkøv were the five riders that started in the team time trial.

Deceuninck-Quick-Step finished in the fourth position of the day, completing the 49.6-kilometre course 30 seconds slower than the event's winner Mitchelton-Scott. "Today we just had to defend the job," said sports director Tom Steels.

"From the beginning, we took our gap to one minute, and despite Fabio struggling a bit, the boys were really strong and rode smoothly as a team. We did really good all weekend and were consistent from day one. We always ride aggressively, we kept to the script also here in Limburg, and the guys were also tactically perfect, which was one of the things that made the difference."

The team is currently in the second position of the Hammer Series Leaderboard with 134.9 points, while Jumbo-Visma still leads with 181 points.
