Chris Froome withdraws from Criterium du Dauphine following TT recon crash

Team Ineos has confirmed that Chris Froome has been forced out of the Criterium du Dauphine due to a crash he suffered during recon of the time trial course.
The Briton hit the deck while he was going through the 26.1-kilometre circuit in Roanne where the individual time trial of the fourth stage is set to be held. The extent of his injuries is currently unknown as is the recovery time he will need after this.
Froome was taken to the local hospital by helicopter and hours later the team confirmed the extent of his injuries. Find more here.
