Dimension Data is set to start in the Tour of Slovenia with a sprint-focused roster. The African team will test its fast tactics ahead of the Tour de France.

The 2.HC race will have five stages, of which one -stage four- will include a first category climb and will shape the General Classification. All the other four stages are suitable for fast men or for puncheurs, giving plenty of chances for sprint trains to finish up the preparations ahead of the National championships and the Tour de France.

Mark Cavendish will be the leader of the team and he will have with him the sprint train that will support his aspirations in the Grande Boucle. Next to him will be Giacomo Nizzolo and Enrico Gasparotto, in their first race after finishing the Giro d'Italia.

"The Tour of Slovenia will be an important race for us as it is our last race before National Championships and then the Tour de France," said Dimension Data's sports director Alex Sans Vega. "We have our main sprint riders in Slovenia, with a goal of getting them to work well together and try to execute their sprint finale plans as often as possible. It will be tough with the many climbs in beautiful Slovenia, but it should make for an exciting race too."

Dimension Data's roster for the Tour of Slovenia (19th to 23rd of June):

Mark Cavendish
Giacomo Nizzolo
Enrico Gasparotto
Bernhard Eisel
Mark Renshaw
Lars Bak
Rasmus Tiller
