Giovanni Visconti (Neri Sottoli-Selle Italia) has taken the victory of the fourth stage of the Tour of Slovenia. The Italian was the fastest at the reduced sprint of the Queen stage of the race.

The Queen stage of the Slovenian race was 153.9 kilometres long over a route that included three climbs of the third category and one of the first category. Giovanni Visconti (Neri Sottoli-Selle Italia), Diego Ulissi, Tadej Pogacar (UAE-Team Emirates) and Aleksandr Vlasov (Gazprom-RusVelo) were the four riders that took the front of the race in the last climb of the day and arrived together to the finish line, copying almost exactly the way the stage developed the day before.

This time, the four riders arrived together to the last kilometre and Visconti -former Italian champion, was the fastest in the sprint and crossed the finish line ahead of Ulissi, Pogacar and Vlasov.

With his second place in the fourth stage, Ulissi managed to remain on top of the General Classification, while Visconti climbed two places to the second position, Vlasov went down one place and Pogacar climbed from the sixth to the fourth overall place.
