Mitchelton-Scott's Annemiek van Vleuten has taken the time trial title in the Dutch national championships. This is the fourth victory of the rider in this competition.

The time trial competition took place in Ede -a place that Annemiek van Vleuten considers her 'back garden'- over a 31.8-kilometre route. The rider of Mitchelton-Scott stopped the clock in 39 minutes and 14 seconds, completely dominating the competition and taking more than one minute of advantage over the main rivals.

Van Vleuten was clearly looking for the fourth national gold medal in the discipline of her career by riding at a speed of around 48 kilometres per hour.

Former Dutch time trial champion Ellen van Dijk (Trek-Segafredo) took the second place in the competition by completing the course one minute and 35 seconds slower than the champion, while Boels-Dolmans' Anna van der Breggen was in the third position, one minute and 49 seconds behind Van Vleuten.
