Richie Porte is set to lead Trek-Segafredo in the upcoming Tour de France. The rider will have his seventh participation in a row in the race with the objective of fighting for good GC positioning.

The Australian climber took the fifth overall position in the 2016 edition of the French grand tour and the two next editions he has had to withdraw, but for this year he is ready and doesn't feel any pressure. "I think we have a well-rounded team," the rider explained.

"Obviously I'd love to be on the podium in Paris but I know it's going to be a hell of a fight. I think what we have done well going into this race is controlling the things we can control and not getting distracted by how things have gone so far this season. In a lot of ways, I feel a lot less pressure than in past years and am very motivated to fight hard over the three weeks."

Trek-Segafredo's roster for the Tour de France (6th to 28th of July):

Richie Porte
Julien Bernard
Giulio Ciccone
Koen de Kort
Fabio Felline
Bauke Mollema
Toms Skujins
Jasper Stuyven
