Movistar has confirmed its roster for the 30th edition of the Giro Rosa. A strong roster will tackle the ten stages of the longest race of the women's calendar.

The 2019 edition of the Giro Rosa Iccrea will be the second time the Spanish squad faces the grand tour. In 2018, Movistar took the 8th and the 11th overall places with Eider Merino and Mavi Garcia and finished second in the team's classification.

The Spanish national champion of 2018 Eider Merino will return to the race to face some stages in her favourite terrain, the mountains. The very light rider will have her chances to shine in days like the third stage when the peloton will face the Passo Gavia.

The newly crowned Spanish time trial champion Sheyla Gutierrez will sport her new colours in the sixth stage of the Italian grand tour, a 12.1-kilometre long individual time trial between Chiuro and Teglio over a route that features a constant ascent to the end.

Next to them will also be Malgorzata Jasinska, who is not only the most veteran rider in the Spanish squad but the also the most experienced in the Giro Rosa with eight consecutive appearances since her debut in 2011. She has been improving in the season and she has taken top-ten positions in the Women's Tour and the second place in the ITT national championships of Poland.
