Jesus Herrada has renewed his contract with Cofidis. The Spanish rider will stay in the team for two more years along with his brother Jose.
The rider moved to the French squad in 2018 and will stay until at least 2021. The Spaniard will continue his season with the Tour de France after finishing in the third position of the Spanish road race national championships and winning the Mount Ventoux Denivele Challenge and the Tour de Luxembourg.
"I am very happy to be able to stay two more years in the team Cofidis, which is a big family," said Herrada about the news of his contract renewal. "I feel very good with my teammates and all the staff. This contract extension allows me to be calmer and focus on our next objectives.
"When I arrived to the team last year, I had to go through an adaptation phase that went very well. Now everything is settled for me to make sure to give the best as the entire team does."
Jesus' brother Jose has also extended his contract for two new seasons. "Jose has a fundamental role within the team," said Cedric Vasseur, General Manager of Cofidis. "He is a model teammate who is able to keep his leaders in the best conditions."
Vasseur also commented on the work the two Spaniards do on the road: "it is a beautiful combination he forms with his brother. Their association is always fruitful!"
