The General Manager of Movistar Eusebio Unzue has confirmed some rumours that have been going around about Richard Carapaz, Nairo Quintana, Mikel Landa and Enric Mas ahead of the 2020 season.

Unzue talked to Spanish radio Cadena Ser about the information that has been doing the rounds about Richard Carapaz, Nairo Quintana and Mikel Landa leaving the team -reportedly to Ineos, Arkea-Samsic and Bahrain-Merida- and the signing of Enric Mas. "It is true that it seems that the rumours of Carapaz and Nairo are true and about Mikel, I haven't personally heard that he has signed anything. We would like to keep him. Both parties have the intention to continue and being the situation like this, everything gets easier. But for now, I can't say anything else.

"About Enric Mas, it is something that I can't talk about. Logically, we have shown the interest to have him among us. In a few days, we will know if he will come to the team or where he is going, I hope he chooses well."

Landa has been showing a good condition on the Tour de France, but a crash left him out of the top positions, where he sits in the seventh place at almost five minutes from Julian Alaphilippe. "He started well and despite the crash, the Pyrenees have been useful to confirm and recover his good mood. He will face the Alps with the hope that we can still be in the fight with the help of Alejandro, who is at a great level. I hope we can find the reward for the great work that we have done because we haven't had a reward with a stage victory."
