The organisation of the Tour de France has decided that the stage 19th of the race won't have a winner or a most aggressive rider award.

Just when the riders were doing the descent of the Col de l'Iseran, the race organisation took the decision of stopping the stage due to the extreme weather conditions of the last climb of the day. Television images showed roads covered in hail, streams of water coming through and even a section that had a landslide.

In order to protect the well-being of the riders, the organisation of the French grand tour took the decision of neutralising the race at the last climb of the day and apply the times of the top of the Iseran.

With this decision, Team Ineos' Egan Bernal climbed to the top of the General Classification as Julian Alaphilippe was dropped in the middle of the climb. The Colombian will be wearing the Yellow Jersey in the last Alpine stage that will take the peloton between Albertville and Val Thorens.
