Jumbo-Visma thinks the neutralisation of the 19th stage of the Tour de France was a good decision but claims it doesn't work in its favour.

The leader of the Dutch team Steven Kruijswijk remained with the main GC contenders during the climb of the Col de l'Iseran and during a part of it, he was joined by his teammate Laurens De Plus, who put the rhythm of the reduced group. This group was riding behind Egan Bernal, who conquered the crest in the first position but was already trying to get close to him when the race was stopped.

"Team Jumbo-Visma considers the decision that is made by the organization to stop the stage a good decision," said the team through a statement. "Due to the hail and the landslide, the road up to Tignes was impassable.

"The decision that is made however isn't in our favour in our battle for the final podium in Paris. We have seen a very strong team on the L'Iseran and we are eager to do our best tomorrow to get on the podium."
