Deceuninck-Quick-Step is set to start in the Prudential RideLondon-Surrey Classic with a strong roster that can adapt to every circumstance that the race presents.

Britain's only WorldTour event will be different in 2019 from its previous editions. The changes include its length -which is now 167 kilometres- and the difficulties of the route -which will include the peloton tackling Box Hill five times.

The runner-up of the 2018 edition of the race Elia Viviani will be one of the main contenders if the race finishes in a bunch sprint, while other riders like Philippe Gilbert, Iljo Keisse and Zdenek Stybar will be there if the race develops in any other way.

"The race will be different this year, because we go up the Box Hill two more times, and the bunch could get shattered to pieces there," said sports director Klaas Lodewyck. "We will try to control the race as much as possible with Iljo and Davide, and in case there will be a regrouping and a mass gallop, we have both Elia and Alvaro, who'll be supported by Michael.

"If not, Philippe and Zdenek, who is returning to competition, are our guys for a good result on Sunday."

Deceuninck-Quick-Step's roster for the Prudential RideLondon-Surrey Classic (August 4):

Philippe Gilbert
Alvaro Jose Hodeg Chagui
Iljo Keisse
Davide Martinelli
Michael Morkov
Zdenek Stybar
Elia Viviani
