Filippo Ganna (Team Ineos) has taken the victory in the individual time trial on stage six of the Binck Bank Tour.
The fight against the clock was over an 8.3-kilometre route in which Tom Bohli was the first rider to be on the hot seat after completing it in nine minutes and 40 seconds. Riders like Miles Scotson, Harry Tanfield and Jos van Emden briefly grabbed the lead of the stage until the Italian time trial champion Filippo Ganna stopped the clock in nine minutes and 16 seconds.
Mitchelton-Scott's Edoardo Affini, Van Emden, Groupama-FDJ's Stefan Küng and Tanfield completed the top five of the day. Lotto Soudal's Tim Wellens finished the stage in the 10th position at 20 seconds from Ganna and extended his lead on the General Classification with one stage to go.
"It was my first victory in the Italian national jersey today and I was very happy with my performance and my time too," said the rider of Ineos. "Now I will focus on supporting Dylan van Baarle on the final stage, I’m feeling better after a small crash two days ago and I feel better, luckily I didn’t do too much damage, so I can help."
