Alejandro Valverde, Richard Carapaz and Nairo Quintana lead Movistar in Vuelta a España

Movistar Team has announced its roster for the upcoming edition of the Vuelta a España, which will be the 40th time the formation starts in the Spanish grand tour.
The Spanish team reaches a milestone in the third grand tour of the season with its 40th consecutive appearance. The roster for the race will be headlined by two former winners: Alejandro Valverde and Nairo Quintana, as well as by the winner of the 2019 Giro d'Italia, Richard Carapaz.
José Luis Arrieta and Pablo Lastras will be the sports directors of the team in the 2019 edition of the race. In all the starts in the Vuelta a España, the team today known as Movistar has taken four overall victories, 12 podium finishes, 61 stage wins and 10 team classification victories.
