Team Dimension Data has confirmed the signing of Time Trial star Victor Campenaerts and its change of name for 2020.

The holder of the World Hour record will arrive in the African team in 2020, at the moment the formation will be known as NTT. For the rest of the year, the team will continue being Dimension Data.

Campenaerts turned professional in 2014 with Sport Vlaanderen-Baloise and from there he stepped up to the World Tour with LottoNL-Jumbo. Then he made a move to Lotto-Soudal, where he has spent the last two seasons, and from 2020 he will start a new adventure in NTT. Apart from the hour record, the Belgian has also been European and Belgian time trial champion.

"I’m really looking forward to my new adventure with Team NTT next year," said Campenaerts. "The contact that I had with the team earlier on (in the year) was immediately really positive – with riders at first, then with some of the staff and later on directly with Doug Ryder. The common interests were very positive for both parties, and we didn’t need to talk too much in order for us to agree on working together.

"I had two super good years with Lotto Soudal, it was a really positive experience and it was really difficult to leave the team but I’m really looking forward to this new challenge. I’m sure that this is a step forward in my career and I’m really looking forward to it."
