Deceuninck-Quick-Step has chosen a versatile roster that mixes youth and experience for the last grand tour of the season: the Vuelta a España.

The race kicks off on the Salinas de Torrevieja with a team time trial and finished in Madrid in a stage for the fast men. The Belgian team already knows what is like to taste the victory in the grand tour as it had taken 26 stage wins and two secondary classifications with 16 different riders.

Now the squad is ready to face a new challenge in which it will compete for stage wins. "We have a nice mix of young and experienced riders, and our goal will be to go for stage victories," said sports director Wilfried Peeters. "Fabio (Jakobsen) is making his first Grand Tour appearance and with the help of Max (Richeze), we hope he'll be there in the bunch sprints, while James (Knox) will take it day by day and see what he can do in the mountains.

"Rémi (Cavagna) is also capable of some nice things, as he has shown earlier this year in California, while Tim (Declercq) will do what he does best and work hard at the head of the peloton to bring back the break."

Deceuninck-Quick-Step's line-up for the Vuelta a España (August 24-September 15):

Eros Capecchi
Rémi Cavagna
Tim Declercq
Philippe Gilbert
Fabio Jakobsen
James Knox
Maximiliano Richeze
Zdenek Stybar
