Richard Carapaz and Mikel Landa to lead Movistar in OVO Energy Tour of Britain

Richard Carapaz and Mikel Landa are set to lead Movistar in the upcoming edition of the OVO Energy Tour of Britain.
The Ecuadorian champion of the 2019 Giro d'Italia -who was taken out of the Vuelta a España roster due to a crash in a Criterium race- will return to competition in the British race. He will lead the Spanish team with Mikel Landa, who will also be making his comeback after the Tour de France and the Clasica San Sebastian.
The two riders will start on the British race for the first time and will lead a formation that is completed by Andrey Amador, Carlos Barbero, Eduardo Sepúlveda and Carlos Verona, making it the strongest roster for the team ever in the competition. The race will start in Glasgow on September 7 and finish in Greater Manchester on September 14.
Other stars have already confirmed their participation in the race like Mark Cavendish (Dimension Data), Dylan Groenewegen (Jumbo-Visma), Matteo Trentin (Mitchelton-Scott), and Mathieu van der Poel (Corendon-Circus).
