Deceuninck-Quick-Step has chosen a strong roster to face Binche-Chimay-Binche, which will be the last Belgian race of the season for the formation.

The race will be 198.6-kilometres long and will have its most exciting part on the local circuit, which will be tackled five times. Each lap features a short uphill section and cobblestoned, and it is there where the riders will launch their attacks to make a selection or try for a solo win.

"We will race again as we always do, and that's aggressively and with the desire of being there when it matters," said sports director Klaas Lodewyck. "We have several guys who can get a good result, and I'm thinking here of Florian, who proved in the last couple of races that he has a good form, or Yves, who came close to victory in 2018.

"We are ready to give it our best and are really motivated to notch up a good result for Alvaro, whose crash in Eurometropole prevents him from being with us in this race."

Deceuninck-Quick-Step's roster for Binche-Chimay-Binche (October 8):

Tim Declercq
Mikkel Honoré
Iljo Keisse
Yves Lampaert
Florian Sénéchal
Pieter Serry
Petr Vakoc
