Israel Cycling Academy has signed two young talents for its first season at the WorldTour: Alexis Renard and Norman Vahtra.

Renard is 20 years old, the French amateur champion and has been riding as a stagiaire for the team for the last three months. "I am ready for my new life," he confessed. "The WorldTour is not a problem, I’m ready to work hard to get to the level and help the team. And I believe I can even win. Why not?"

Israel Cycling Academy's manager Kjell Carlstrom talked about the French rider. "He really impressed us both in attitude and racing quality," he said. "He is a strong rider with a good margin of improvement still and we are sure he will prove to be a great asset."

The 22-year-old Vahtra won five amateur races in 2018 and next year he took more than double victories, winning 13 races including 7 UCI events. "I got 20-30 sec absolute power and sprint as my biggest strength plus the ability to handle some gentle slopes and Time Trial," he explained.

Carlstrom explained that the Estonian will be part of the team's sprint train in bigger races and will have the chance to go for the victory in smaller ones. "He has a good capacity in both lead-out and sprints and he is far from reaching his full potential which is exactly the talent we look to develop," he commented.
