The Union Cycliste Internationale (UCI) has confirmed the number of riders per country for the road race and individual time trial of the Olympic Games of Tokyo 2020.

The governing body of the sport announced the list of the National Olympic Committees qualified for the Road Women's and Men's event for the upcoming Olympic games. Every committee has to confirm the spots that will use in each of the events by December 15 of 2019.

For the men's road race -which will take place on the 25th of July of 2020- the countries confirmed to have the maximum number of spots (5) are Belgium, Colombia, Spain, France, Italy, and the Netherlands. The nations that will start in the event with four riders include Australia, Denmark, Great Britain, Germany, Norway, Slovenia, and Switzerland.

For the men's individual time trial (July 29) the countries that have the most spots (2) are Australia, Belgium, Estonia, Great Britain, Germany, Italy, New Zealand, Portugal, and Switzerland. The countries that got one spot for the event were: Algeria, Austria, Canada, Colombia, Czech Republic, Denmark, Ecuador, Eritrea, Spain, France, Iran, Ireland, Kazakhstan, the Netherlands, Norway, Poland, South Africa, Russia, Slovenia, and Slovakia.

The women's road race will be held on the 26th of July and the countries that will have the maximum number of spots (4) are Australia, Germany, Italy, the Netherlands, and the United States. Belgium will have three places in the race and other countries like Canada, Denmark, Spain, Great Britain, Japan, Norway, Poland, and South Africa will have two athletes each.

For the women's time trial (July 29), Australia, Canada, Germany, the Netherlands and United States have two spots while Belgium, Belarus, Denmark, Spain, France, Great Britain, Israel, Italy, Japan, Luxembourg, Norway, Poland, South Africa, Switzerland, and Sweden will have one spot.
