The third edition of the Deutschland Tour will visit Bavaria for the first time and the final stage is set to be in Nuremberg.

During its first two editions, the Tour of Germany has visited half of the federal states and next year will be its first time in the southern state of Bavaria. The city of Nuremberg -which hosts a Regional and a Federal Performance Center for Cycling- will have its Grand Finale.

"With Nuremberg, the Deutschland Tour 2020 celebrates its grand finale in a cycling stronghold that combines tradition with the future," said Claude Rach, Managing Director of the Gesellschaft zur Förderung des Radsports, A.S.O.’s German subsidiary.

"In Nuremberg, the focus is on cycling and talents of tomorrow are encouraged and promoted here. The 23rd of August will be a cycling day for all in Nuremberg - a day that the fans can co-create."

In the website of the race, the fans can already submit their ideas for the Nuremberg finale and it is already certain that the beautiful Bavarian landscapes will get a top position for the fans that will be watching on TV. "The road to Nuremberg offers us the ideal terrain for an exciting finale," said Fabian Wegmann, Sports Director of the Deutschland Tour.

"The hilly profile in the Franconia region is not too difficult but nevertheless demanding. We look forward to receiving many insider tips from the fans to keep the race open until the end."
