Astana Women's Team has announced three signings for the upcoming season: Francesca Pattaro, Katia Ragusa and Marina Ivanyuk.

The riders will arrive to strengthen the team in 2020 next to the ones that were already confirmed from last season. Ragusa is 22 years old and has shown growth in her shape in 2019 by taking several podium positions in Italian races. "The first impact I had from Astana is that it really seems to be in a family and this will surely give me new motivations for the season," she said.

"The project is captivating and I am convinced that next year will go well: my goal is to grow and I hope to be able to help an athlete like Arlenis Sierra; from a personal point of view I would like to improve in the general classification of the Giro Rosa, which is perhaps my favourite race and in which I have done quite well this year."

Pattaro -24-year-old- is also Italian, and she will be making the move from BePink, where he was for four consecutive seasons. The rider also competes in track cycling and is eager to put her talents to the service of the Italian-Kazakh team. "From an emotional point of view it is hard to change after four years, but Astana has always been a team that I have admired: the first approach when I signed the contract was great, especially for the organization I found," the rider explained.

"Then I like the idea of running alongside a champion like Arlenis Sierra, seeing her from outside I have always esteemed her and I hope to be up to being of help to her and to all my future teammates."

The 29-year-old Ivanyuk is Ukrainian and has been competing for year with her national team before signing with Astana. "I'm very happy with the idea of wearing the Astana jersey in 2020," she said. "I can't wait to start the new season, I am very motivated and ready to give my best to help the team achieve great results."
