The Cadel Evans Great Ocean Road Race has announced some names that will start at the 2020 editions of its men's and women's race.

The Men's Elite Road Race will be the opening one-day race of the UCI WorldTour calendar and will be held on Sunday 2nd of February 2020 and one of the riders that will be there is the road World Champion Mads Pedersen (Trek-Segafredo). One of the favourites for the locals, Australian Caleb Ewan (Lotto Soudal) will also try to improve from his 2019 result, in which he finished in the second place.

The winner of the 2019 edition of the race, Elia Viviani will be showing his new Cofidis colours in the Australian roads, as will do the Irish national champion Sam Bennett -who will be riding there with his new team Deceuninck-Quick-Step.

The Deakin University Elite Women's Road Race will be the first race of the UCI Women's WorldTour calendar in 2020 and some important riders have already confirmed their participation. One of them is the winner of the 2019 edition of the race, Cuban rider Arlenis Sierra (Astana Women's Team).

Days after taking her third Australian road title, Mitchelton-Scott's Amanda Spratt will also be at the start line. Lotta Henttala (Trek-Segafredo) and Chloe Hosking (Rally Cycling) will also fight for the victory of the one-day race.
