Team Sunweb's Edo Maas keeps advancing in his recovery, and he showed it in a video published on social media where he is taking some steps with the help of crotches and a powered exoskeleton.

Just a little more than two months after the serious accident he suffered at the Piccolo Lombardia, the Dutch rider keeps showing good signs in his recovery. Although Maas was left with paralysis in the legs from the crash, he has been able to take little steps with the help of a powered exoskeleton, and he showed it in an Instagram post -in which also he showed to be in a good mood and keep his good mood as he tagged former runner Usain Bolt.

The rider crashed on a descent of the Italian race against a car that entered the circuit after ignoring the signs that the event was taking place. Maas was taken to the hospital in Milano where was treated of fractures of his back, neck and face, which required surgery.

Days after the accident, Sunweb said in a press release that the rider suffered from paraplegia and that it was unlikely that his legs would ever work again. "Whilst this won’t undo this devastating tragedy, we once again call upon our governing body (UCI), to prioritise all of their time and resources on securing and ensuring the implementation of safe race conditions for teams and their riders," said the team in a statement at the time.
