Mitchelton-Scott's Annemiek van Vleuten has been presented with a special custom Scott Addict RC bike to honour her achievements of the past season, particularly her World Championships title.

The Dutch rider won the road race of the World Championships in Yorkshire in a spectacular way after attacking with 105 kilometres to go in the event and crossing the finish line by herself. This is the first road title for Van Vleuten, after she has also taken two Individual Time Trial world championships.

The Scott Addict RC bike disc brake features the rainbow bands and another personal features. On the top tube her nickame "Vleuty" is visible and under that there are the rainbow lines and three symbolic Dutch items: a windmill, a clog and a tulip; in addition, there is also a tribute to the 105 kilometres that she rode solo to get the title.

"I really love the bike, Scott made it especially for me," Van Vleuten explained. "The thing I like the most is that it says 105km solo, that's the amount of kilometres I did solo at the world championships, so it makes the bike really personal to me.

"I also really like that this bike is with disc brakes. That's a new feature for the women's team in 2020, my descending on it has been going like crazy so that's really good and yet the bike is still very light."
