Team Ineos is in Colombia doing a training camp before facing its first race of the season in South America: the Tour Colombia 2.1.

The roster that will take part in the Colombian race has arrived to the city of Paipa, in the Boyaca region, and there it will do some training before facing the Colombian race. This will be the third time that the British formation will take part in the Tour Colombia.

Team Ineos will be formed only by Latin American riders, including Egan Bernal -winner of the 2019 Tour de France, Iván Sosa, Sebastián Henao and Brandon Rivera, who will be riding on their home routes. The winner of the 2019 Giro d'Italia Richard Carapaz is also in Colombia to train and to participate in the race.

The Ecuadorian rider Jhonatan Narvaez is also part of Ineos' roster for the race. Bernal and Rivera have also been doing time trial training and positioning ahead of the Colombian time trial national championships, which will be held in the town of Pesca on January 30.

The riders arrived to Colombia with Ineos' coach Oliver Cookson, the coach Xabier Artetxe and sports director Xabier Zandio. The Tour Colombia will be held between the 11th and the 16th of February.
