Dylan Groenewegen (Jumbo-Visma) has taken his second stage win at the 2020 edition of the Volta a la Comunitat Valenciana by outsprinting Fabio Jakobsen and Matej Mohoric at the third stage of the race.

The peloton faced a 174-kilometre route at the third stage of the Spanish race - which was bound to be another day for the sprinters. The breakaway of the day was formed in the first 20 kilometres of racing and included riders like Hector Saez, Julen Irizar and Iván Moreno.

Behind them, the teams with sprinters took control of the speed of the pack to force a fast finale. With 9 kilometres to go, the escapees were reeled back in by the pack and despite the efforts of a couple of riders to surprise the rest, everything came together to a bunch sprint.

Dylan Groenewegen (Jumbo-Visma) was once more the strongest of the sprinters and crossed the finish line ahead of Fabio Jakobsen (Deceunick-Quick-Step) and Matej Mohoric (Bahrain-McLaren). Mitchelton-Scott's Jack Haig climbed to the top of the General Classification one day before the Queen Stage.
