UAE Team Emirates' Juan Sebastian Molano has taken the victory at the second stage of the Tour Colombia.

Just after the first day of competition -where EF Pro Cycling won the team time trial and Jonathan Caicedo took the lead of the General Classification- the peloton faced a 152.4-kilometre stage between Paipa and Duitama over a flat route that made it a day for the sprinters.

After his outstanding work for Fernando Gaviria at the Vuelta a San Juan, Maximiliano Richeze (UAE Team Emirates) showed once again his talents as lead-out man by putting Molano in a perfect position for him to take the day's victory, crossing the finish lune ahead of Alvaro Hodeg (Deceuninck-Quick-Step) and Itamar Einhorn (Israel Start-Up Nation).

Caicedo remains in the lead of the General Classification with the same time as his EF Pro Cycling teammates ahead of the first medium mountain stage of the competition.
