The 20th edition of the Royal Bernard Drome Classic is going to have the participation of top-level riders, including winners of Grand Tours.

The French race will be held on the first of March 2020 and some of the best cyclists in the peloton are going to take part in it. The winner of the Tour de France, the Giro d'Italia and the Vuelta a España Vincenzo Nibali has included this race as one of the first he is doing with his new team Trek-Segafredo.

The Italian's teammate Bauke Mollema -winner of races like Il Lombardia and the Clasica San Sebastian- has also confirmed his participation as well as the winner of the 2019 Tour of Flanders Alberto Bettiol and NTT Pro Cycling's Roman Kreuziger -who has in his palmares victories in the Amstel Gold Race, the Tour de Suisse and the Tour de Romandie.

Some of the most important French riders at the moment will also be at the 20th anniversary of the race like Julian Alaphilippe (Deceuninck-Quick-Step), Romain Bardet (AG2R La Mondiale), Lilian Calmejane (Total Direct Energie) and Warren Barguil (Arkea Samsic).

"It is a beautiful race that promises a show of spectacular beauty," sair Bernard Vallet, King of the Mountains at the 1982 Tour de France and technical advisor of the race. "The puncheurs will really be able to ride in terrain that they love, especially over the new Ardèche course that we have carved out for them, with a last circuit in the hills around Cornas. That should really ensure a beautiful finish.

"When I was a racer, I would have really liked to be able to show myself on this kind of terrain. I cannot wait to see it."

The Boucles Drome Classic will have seven WorldTour teams in competition -Deceuninck-Quick-Step, Trek-Segafredo, EF Pro Cycling, NTT Pro Cycling, AG2R La Mondiale, Groupama FDJ and Cofidis.
