Arkea-Samsic's Nairo Quintana has added his voice to the ones of other cyclists and athletes asking people to stay home.
The Colombian is currently quarantined in his home country, where he arrived from France last week after the finish of Paris-Nice. He is currently in the town of Duitama, with his brother Dayer, doing the obligatory isolation for people that enter the South American country from other nations, while his teammate Dayer Anacona is also quarantained.
"We know that we are currently going through difficult times, but it is now when we should be stronger to conquer this climb and the best way of doing it is to stay home. That's why I ask to keep riding from home," said the rider through social media.
Other Colombian riders are currently in the country spending the lockdown time with his families, and they show parts of their lives through their social media channels. Rigoberto Urán, Sergio Higuita (EF Pro Cycling), Egan Bernal (Ineos), Alvaro Hodeg (Deceuninck-Quick-Step), Hernando Bohorquez and Harold Tejada (Astana) are also in Colombia.
